Best Of '14

During a class today we were discussing ideas of what we should put into the magazine and one of the questions was 'what was the best thing that happened to you in the year of 2014?' I know my story wont be put into the magazine so i decided to share it on here. Well, once upon a time i didn't have very much friends to hang out with. My daily routine was coming home, sleep, eat, homework, and practice music. My mom wasn't home very often and still isn't home very often. I was alone and felt like i was stuck being alone. Until someone came along, actually no, a few people came along. A friend at the time(now best friend, who new?) asked me if i'd like to go out and have a bon fire with friends and I can play guitar. The bon fire was fantastic, we all started hanging out more and i wasn't home alone as much as i was. That friend group that i connected with change me and changed my life. I have never hung out with anyone as much as i did with them. And i think the connection we all had was just incredible. That to me was the best thing that happened to me in 2014 aside from meeting way many other people. Thank  you for taking the time to read this and i hope you all share your stories.

What are we talking about?

Hmm.. I know people don't all talk about the same thing unless its about relationships, whats happening with the economy, or just plain old boring, annoying, and hardworking thing we all call school. But we all don't talk about this stuff with everyone because not everyone agrees with you and it would piss us off. That is just why nowadays we have 'groups' yes, group of friends that we have an only talk to unless we are forced to talk to these other people. To actually get people to get meaning and understanding in one place without getting annoyed is by not arguing with what they think! Yes you do think a different way but that doesn't mean other people cant. We learn things a bit better that way. Don't just disagree and not listen to any other word they say but get in there shoes and listen to there perspective, don't be like a religious person saying you need to pray to god everyday and always pay attention to him and always trying to get other people to do that. Our daily interactions with each other can always teach us even the smallest things.

FAHRENHEIT 451

On the Wikipedia page of Fahrenheit 451 one of the things I think will be very important to reading the book will be, Fahrenheit 451 is the temperature it gets to to burn a book? That is interesting. And this was written in the McCarthy era? When the United States had threats of book burning. And i think maybe another thing is it was written in the year 1953 so maybe part of this book will be boring! And lastly Ray Bradbury has one a lot of awards after this so maybe it just wont be that bad.

FAHRENHEIT 451 FIRST IMPRESSIONS

From what i think and see in the cover of Fahrenheit 451, i think the fireman Guy Montag burns stuff for a living but then finds a turning point that he didn't think would ever occur. I think the main message or theme of the story will be, maybe you thought things were just going to be the same from there on, things wouldn't turn away because you say to yourself,"well maybe this is all it is.... all its gonna be." You never know what will come your way in the future.
